Our Handcrafted Wines

We focus our attention on creating only two or three stellar varietals each year. We don’t know what we’ll be making until just before harvest when our donor vineyards inform us that they are ready to donate a portion of that year’s crop. These vineyards produce for the top wineries in Sonoma. We are delighted to be able to work with the amazing fruit produced by these growers from vineyards dating back almost 100 years.

Our previous vintages are sold out.
Our next release will be in the February 2019.

2017 Viognier

A full bodied white wine that has originated in southern France. This wine is for those who love to stop and smell the flowers. It has perfumed aromas of peach, tangerine and honeysuckle. If you like Chardonnay you’ll enjoy the weight of this wine and notice that it is a little softer on acidity with a more perfumed nose.

Food pairing – The thing to do here is to focus on embellishing and expanding the wine’s core flavors making sure the food isn’t too acidic or bold. Think roasted chicken, pork chop with apricot sauce, pan seared tilapia, sea bass or poached salmon. A baked brie with apricots, Gruyere or a fondue would pair nicely as well. Heck… we love it all by itself on a hot summer day in the shade of a tree next to the vineyard!

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon

This is the world’s most popular red wine. It’s a marriage between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc that originated around Bordeaux, France. (Hard to believe the Sav Blanc is in there right?) We found the balance for this release by blending in some of our 2016 Merlot to round out the mouthfeel and add a touch of softness. You’ll taste black cherry, black currant, some oak and baking spices.

Food pairing – This wine is enjoyed with big flavors such as rich grilled meats and peppery sauces. We like to kick back after dinner with a hunk of dark chocolate, a bottle of this wine and a crackling fire in the firepit behind the house in the vineyard.
